Safe As Houses aims fit a free 10 year smoke alarm for anyone who needs one. However people living in council or housing association housing will have alarms fitted in the next two years so priority will go to:
- People living in owner-occupied or private rented accommodation.
- People with high risk factors.
The alarm fitted should last for ten years and the design integrates the ‘hush’ and the test button into the alarm cover, making it easy to deal with false alarms.
Our trained fitter will demonstrate how to operate the alarm and leave behind a leaflet with a contact number in case of queries.
