Who will pay for this and why?
Most work will be paid for by EC1 New Deal, working to improve quality of life for people in the EC1 area.
Falls are the leading cause of death and disability for older people but there are ways in which we can reduce the risk of a fall.
Many older people worry about burglaries. By improving security, the project will help people feel safer at home.
The project is funded for just over two years, starting at the beginning of 2003. So it is important to take the opportunity while it is there.
