Services supporting disabled and older people
Small aids
We provide many small aids, including all internal and external rails and lever taps as well as a range of other equipment for the home. We can take the new “Retail Model” prescriptions where supply and installation of equipment is free of charge, but we can also supply equipment required for the cost of the equipment and £5 per half hour.
We are currently developing a small retail area at Caxton House with common equipment in stock and available to view.
Telecare
Telecare is the name given to a range of wi-fi devices that support care of people with support needs. We fit and deal with modifications and repairs of telecare equipment for Islington Social Services.

Hackney Community Falls Prevention Network – “Stop Falls”

Stop Falls works to reduce the risk of falls for Hackney older people. Working closely with other services within the Falls and Bone Health Care Pathway, the service provides publicity and information, signposting to other services, a range of specialist strength and balance classes and support for exercise at home and free safety checks with free equipment fitted.
Islington Home Fire Safety Checks
We offer a home fire safety check and free smoke alarms where needed to everyone we visit.
